The City of Stratford is looking for interest from developers to build more affordable and attainable housing.
On January 13, investStratford announced that the Corporation of the City of Stratford, Social Services Housing Division, will utilize the Request for Expression of Interest process to invite applications for the development of affordable/attainable/mixed market housing at two Stratford properties.
They are located at 161 East Gore Street and 38 Coriano Street in Stratford. The objective of this project is to create affordable housing, and will be managed by the Social Services department, Housing Division of the City of Stratford.
Interested parties should apply before the closing date of Friday, February 21 at 2 p.m.
The City will utilize the RFEOI process to identify Proponents to enter negotiations with the goal of formalizing a contract that meets the following objectives for the lands:
1. Create a fully affordable or mixed income neighborhood
2. Deliver housing that remains affordable or attainable over the long term
3. Make efficient use of the lands
4. Consider sustainability, variety of built form, accessibility, environmental impact and energy use over the lifetime of the project
