Kincardine youth charged in break-and-enter

A 14-year-old from Kincardine is facing charges stemming from a break-and-enter over the weekend.

South Bruce OPP received a report of a break-in at a business along Queen Street on Saturday morning, around 1 a.m.

OPP Canine and members of the Emergency Response Team located one individual a short distance from the scene and they were then taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation, the 14-year-old has been charged with two counts of break and enter, two counts of mischief under $5,000, theft under $5,000, and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Walkerton court at a later date. Their identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
