Flood Outlook issued for Saugeen River in West Grey

Saugeen Conservation has replaced its January 7 Flood Watch with a Flood Outlook for the Main Saugeen River and tributaries in West Grey.

Ice removal below the Durham Lower Dam has stabilized water levels and improved river conditions. However, extreme cold temperatures expected on January 19, 2025 could lead to frazil ice formation, depending on the extent of ice cover between Durham and Priceville.

Officials will continue monitoring the situation and provide updates if conditions change. SVCA staff and the Municipality of West Grey say they both remain focused on public safety.
