Snow squalls were impacting parts of the county Tuesday.
A yellow snow squall warning was posted for north and east Lambton, but it was lifted at mid afternoon.
Environment Canada said lake effect snow off Lake Huron was expected to move north of the area.
Another 5 centimetres of snow was possible. Widespread blowing snow resulting in near zero visibility was the primary concern, as northwesterly wind gusts of up to 70 km/h were expected.
The national weather agency said travel will likely be hazardous and motorists are advised to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
Yellow alerts are the most common according to Environment Canada and indicate hazardous weather may cause damage, disruption, or health impacts. Impacts are moderate, localized, and/or short-term.
