University of Windsor's varsity teams are out in the community today collecting donations.
It's the Lancer Day of Giving, and money raised will support varsity teams, allowing them to purchase equipment, update facilities and provide coaching and training opportunities.
Teams are competing against each other to see who can collect the most donations over 24 hours.
The effort brings together alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and fans.
Last year's campaign raised more than $155,000, with more than 400 donors giving. During the first campaign in 2024, it raised $58,746.
The goal this year is $200,000, and as of 6 p.m., it had already raised $100,108.
