Windsor-built Pacifica makes huge sales gains

2026 represented a strong start in sales for a Windsor-built minivan.

Stellantis Canada released its sales figures on Thursday for the first quarter of 2026, and they included big gains for the popular Chrysler Pacifica.

Sales of the minivan, built at the Windsor Assembly Plant, were up 256 per cent from the first quarter of 2025, with 4,008 vehicles sold.

There were 1,126 Pacificas sold during the first three months of last year.

"The Canadian-assembled Chrysler Pacifica once again delivered standout performance," read a media release from Stellantis Canada. "The Chrysler minivan family continues to hold its position as Canada’s best-selling minivans, reinforcing the brand’s leadership and strength in the segment."

Another Windsor-built vehicle, the Dodge Charger, also saw increased sales in the first quarter, with sales up 27 per cent to 218 units. This came off after it was named the 2026 North American Car of the Year.

"Dodge has further expanded the lineup with the new SIXPACK-powered 420-horsepower Charger R/T with standard all-wheel drive, as four-door Charger R/T and Scat Pack models now arrive at Canadian dealerships," read the release.

Overall, Stellantis Canada brands reported a 15 per cent sales increase from the first quarter of 2025.
