Exeter hospital temporarily closing Wednesday night

The South Huron Hospital's Emergency Department will be temporarily closed overnight on Wednesday.

According to the hospital, the temporary reduction in hours is due to "planned and required power distribution."

The ED will continue to accept patients until 11 p.m. on March 13. It will reopen the following morning, March 14, at 9 a.m.

Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1. Paramedics will reroute to the nearest open Emergency Department.

The closest hospitals to Exeter are Clinton, Goderich, London, Seaforth, St. Marys and Stratford.
