The General Manager for 7ACRES Cannabis in Kincardine says there was a lot of interest in their job fair in Goderich on Saturday.
Ram Davloor said there were about 50 people waiting when the doors to the Columbus Centre opened.
They are looking for people in four specific areas, sanitation, production, which is close to cultivation, processing, which is more like the packaging side, and maintenance trades.
He stressed they're not looking for any particular skills or experience, "The primary qualification is people who are willing to work and have a passion for growing. We're not looking specifically for any particular discipline, it would help if you had growing background or manufacturing background, but that wouldn't be the prime consideration."

"It's quite an extensive classroom training session and then we have mentoring in the field, so job-shadowing and then those people who we deem as having leadership skills, very quickly we put them through a leadership training program," he said.
