$100,000 in funding available for Kincardine business community

The Municipality of Kincardine has launched its Community Improvement Plan programs for 2026.

The annual incentive programs are designed to support investment, revitalization, and long-term economic growth across the Municipality.

This year, Council has allocated $100,000 toward the CIP to support successful projects that strengthen the Municipality of Kincardine.

Funding is available in four categories: Start-up Space Leasehold Improvement Program, Predevelopment Study and Design Program, Building Improvement and Structural Program and Surplus Land CIP Program.

"Strategic incentives like our Community Improvement Plan programs help reduce barriers and unlock private investment," said Mayor Kenneth Craig in a release. "By supporting start-ups, building improvements, and new housing opportunities, we are creating the conditions for strong, continued growth across the Municipality of Kincardine."

The first application intake closes on Friday, August 28 at 4:30 p.m. Subject to available funding, the second intake closes on Friday, October 16 at 4:30 p.m.

Applicants are encouraged to connect with Municipal staff early in the planning process to confirm eligibility and discuss project details.

In addition to these CIP programs, the Municipality has also allocated $20,000 toward the County-supported Spruce the Bruce Community Improvement Plan program for 2026.

This partnership provides local businesses and property owners with an additional funding stream focused on downtown revitalization and façade improvements.
