Environment Canada is warning it will be a windy Tuesday night across parts of midwestern Ontario.
A special weather statement has been issued for northern Grey County and Bruce Peninsula advising of northwesterly winds gusting to 70 kilometres an hour. There are also expected to be isolated gusts up to 80 kilometres an hour for those regions.
The national weather agency warned the gusts will be strong enough to snap tree limbs and toss loose objects around. Power outages will also be possible.
The winds will diminish after midnight, Environment Canada noted.
A special weather statement was issued for Tuesday morning for Perth County, southern Grey County, and northern Wellington County for a different reason. Environment Canada advised those areas could see 5 to 10 centimetres of snow fall Tuesday morning before the snow transitions to light rain or drizzle near midday.
