Job seekers can find new career opportunities as Owen Sound’s largest job fair returns to the Bayshore Community Centre.
Employers from across the region will be at the event which runs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 20.
A diverse range of employers will be in attendance, including representatives from hospitals and healthcare providers, long-term care and assisted living facilities, golf courses, bus companies, municipalities, contractors, and the food service and hospitality sectors.
Employers looking to participate can still register for a booth at www.grey.ca/jobfair, though space is limited.
“The regional job attracts a variety of employers recruiting for a range of positions and is a great way for job seekers to meet face to face with employers and make an impression,” said Steve Furness, Grey County’s Manager of Economic Development. “If you’re looking for a job or are considering a change, the Regional Job Fair is a great opportunity to discover what careers are currently available throughout the region.”
For those needing assistance with resume writing or interview skills, YMCA Employment Services offers support. Job seekers can schedule an appointment by calling 519-371-9222 or emailing employment@osgb.ymca.ca. Services are available in person at the Owen Sound and Hanover offices, as well as remotely via phone, text, email, and virtual consultations.
