UPDATE: Two-Vehicle Crash Near Drayton Closes Road

A two-vehicle crash has closed a section of road in Wellington County near Drayton this afternoon.

Just after 1pm, the OPP tweeted that a two-vehicle crash had occurred at Wellington Rd. 8 and Wellington Rd. 10. The OPP later confirmed the roadway was closed.

It's now been revealed the collision was between a cement truck and a pick-up truck, and one person involved has minor injuries. The roadway became ignited due to a fuel spill, and there's no timetable for the roadway reopening.

The OPP say to expect lengthy delays, and police remain on-scene alongside the Mapleton Fire Department.  The OPP have now confirmed that Wellington Rd. 8 is now open in both directions, Wellington Rd. 10, however, remains closed.
