The Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association is gearing up for a major milestone with its 65th Annual Reunion in Blyth
Running September 11-13, the event brings decades of agricultural history to life with working steam engines, antique tractors, and live threshing demonstrations.
Huron Pioneer Threshers and Hobbyists Association spokesman Henry Hendriks explained the reunion features everything from historic sawmill demonstrations to daily tractor pulls and afternoon parades.
"There is a children's activity area, as well as a display area of farm animals for the kids. Kids over eight, with a parent who is a member, may bring their vintage garden tractor for the pull," Hendriks added. "New this year is a kids car show, so bring your pedal car."
Hendriks added that the annual steam show is highlighted by the International Harvester feature tractor showcase.
Visitors can expect plenty of entertainment, live step dancing competitions, and cider press demos.
"4-H kids will be showing their model farm display in shed one. Vendors will be in and around the arena, as well as a flea market area," he continued. "Friday evening, we have the Stoneboat Pullers for a pull."
Daily admission is set at $15, with kids 12 and under getting in for $2, or free if they are with an adult.
Weekend hours run 8:30 a.m to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, wrapping up Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m.
