Grey Bruce OPP are asking for any witnesses that may have seen a serious cycling accident in Georgian Bluffs on Monday to come forward.
According to police, the accident happened on Grey Road 1 near the Regional Airport on Monday, July 6 at 11:36 a.m.
WHen they arrived, first responders found a 62-year-old resident of Georgian Bluffs near a bicycle. The individual sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital before being airlifted by Ornge Air Ambulance to a trauma centre for further treatment.
Members of the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team attended the scene and are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
Grey Road 1 was closed for the rest of the day on Monday and didn't re-open until just after 3 a.m. on Tuesday. If anyone witnessed this incident, police are asking that you immediately contact Grey Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
