Get your sunscreen and your walking shoes ready, because the Hottest Street Sale will officially blast back into the Owen Sound River District on Saturday, July 11.
For one spectacular day, 2nd Avenue East will transform into the ultimate pedestrian paradise stretching all the way from 7th Street East to 11th Street East.
From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., the heart of downtown will be bursting at the seams with over 200 places to shop till you drop, grab some delicious eats, and groove to local tunes.
Entertainment includes a community stage set up by the Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce on the front steps of City Hall. Starting at 9:30 a.m., featuring live demonstrations and talent-packed performances from local groups.
To make room for all the fun, 2nd Avenue East and the intersection at 2nd Avenue East and 9th Street East will be completely closed to cars starting bright and early at 5 a.m. on July 11. However, all municipal parking lots will stay open and perfectly accessible throughout the day. Plus, you can still snag regular street parking anywhere it's normally allowed just outside the festival boundaries.
