Thanksgiving closures across CK

Monday will see closures across Chatham-Kent for Thanksgiving.

Municipal offices and services, including Employment and Social Services, Housing Services, and Fleet Services, will be closed. The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) and Public Works administrative offices will also be shut.

Chatham-Kent's Provincial Offences Court will be closed on Monday, though fines can still be paid online here.

Neither Service Ontario location, in Chatham and Dresden, will be available on Thanksgiving Day.

CK Public Health will be shut, with regular office hours resuming at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) will have altered services during the long weekend. Patients with scheduled diagnostic tests are advised to attend their appointments. Hemodialysis Care and the Emergency Departments at both the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be open, with all other departments being closed.

All pools and arenas will be closed, as will theatres, museums, and galleries.

Curbside garbage and recycling pickup will be delayed by one day, while Leaf and Yard Depots and Waste Depots will be closed.

Those who use public transportation will need to find a different way to get around, as Ride CK Transit services won't be operating on Monday.
