Local residents now have an option to get to downtown Toronto in just 50 minutes.
Starting this week, Aspen Air Charters is offering twice weekly flights between Sarnia's Chris Hadfield Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
Flights will depart for Toronto at 7:30 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a return flight from Toronto to Sarnia scheduled for 5:20 p.m. both days.
The cost is $374 per person, including taxes and fees.
Another flight between Sarnia and Kitchener-Waterloo is expected to be announced soon.
They'll mark the first departures from Chris Hadfield Airport since Air Canada permanently grounded flights in 2020, partially due to declining ridership.
In a Facebook post, Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport called the service "perfect for a day of business meetings, or a relaxing weekend getaway."

Meanwhile, the Landline Company continues to offer Air Canada motorcoach service to Toronto.
Travellers can park at Sarnia's airport for free, check in with Air Canada staff, and have their bags tagged. When they arrive at Pearson Airport, customers will go directly to the self-serve bag drop-off and through security.
The motorcoach service offers two daily round trips out of Sarnia, in the early morning and early afternoon.
