Residents in Lambton Shores were being asked to conserve water.
A notice was posted to the municipality's social media pages Tuesday morning, asking residents to temporarily reduce non-essential water use and conserve water where possible.
The notice said the water supply to the municipality had been temporarily reduced because of an emergency pipeline replacement at the Lake Huron Water Treatment Plant.
Residents were asked to postpone activities that use larger amounts of water, such as laundry, watering lawns and gardens, or taking longer showers.
"We appreciate everyone’s cooperation while this work is underway and will provide an update when normal water use can resume," read the notice.
In Grand Bend, residents may have also noticed lower than normal water pressure, and municipal splashpads were closed on Tuesday.
Additionally, bulk water filling stations across the municipality were closed until further notice.
Pinery Provincial Park closed its washrooms for public safety because of the low water pressure. The park store and restaurant were also closed.
The conserve water notice was lifted just before 10 a.m. Wednesday morning, and residents were told water normal water use could resume.
Municipal splash pads and bulk water fill stations also reopened.
