A man who had been on the run from Sarnia police was apprehended on Monday.
Daniel Plain was wanted by police for violating his release order.
Shortly before 5 p.m., police learned that he was at a motel on London Line. Officers arrived at the scene and confirmed he was inside.
Containment then took place.
The suspect originally resisted calls to come out, but eventually surrendered and was taken into custody.
Police said two days after he was originally released from custody, he allegedly removed his GPS monitoring device.
On Saturday, officers received reports that Plain was at a home on Russell Street, but he was not there. Another person was arrested on unrelated charges.
