Update: Child injured by vehicle in Goderich

A five-year-old was taken to hospital after a crash in Goderich Saturday afternoon.

Emergency services responded to Quebec Street around 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon after a collision involving a pedestrian.

According to Huron County OPP, a five-year-old was struck by a motor vehicle and suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries. The child was transported to a trauma centre and is in stable condition.

No one else was injured as a result of the collision.

Quebec Street was closed between Waterloo Street South and Wellington Street South as police investigated the collision. The road was later reopened.
