Charges laid in Saugeen First Nation armed robbery

Grey Bruce OPP have charged a man after an armed robbery in Saugeen First Nation Tuesday afternoon.

Around 1:45 p.m., police responded to a business on Highway 21. It was reported that an individual entered and threatened the cashier with a weapon.

The suspect left the business and was located a short distance away.

No injuries were reported.

The 30-year-old of Saugeen First Nation is now facing charges for robbery using a firearm, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and failure to comply with a release order.

The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
