Sexual assault charge laid following investigation

Wellington County OPP have laid a sexual assault charge following an investigation.

In April of 2024, Wellington County OPP officers began an investigation into a reported sexual assault that allegedly occurred at a residence in Wellington North.

Police have now arrested and charged a 50-year-old Uxbridge native with sexual assault following the investigation.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on July 2, 2024.

Anyone with information regarding this occurrence should contact the Wellington County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
