The Creatures of Clifford contest has grown in its third year, and now Minto residents will can submit their whole house for the annual Halloween decorating contest.

Run by Clifford Connects, the contest has new judged categories and an expanded People’s Choice competition this October.

Homes will be judged for Best Family-Friendly Fright, Best Storytelling, Best DIY Décor and Best Lighting and Effects. The winner of each category will receive a Certificate and a $50 Think Minto First Gift Card.

Residents can register their houses online, or at the Clifford Connects booth at the Halloween Harvest in downtown Clifford on Saturday, October 17, between 5 and 8 p.m.

"This event gives neighbours a fun reason to get creative, explore the village and enjoy the spooky season together," said Alicia Becker, volunteer contest coordinator. "It is also a wonderful way to showcase the community spirit that makes Clifford such a special place."

Registered homes must be ready for judging by October 25. Members of the public can tour participating displays and vote for their favourites from October 26–29.
