A Huron-based company is opening its doors to the public this week to celebrate its next chapter.
Calhoun Super Structure in Goderich is celebrating its 30th anniversary and recently completed a big expansion.
The company manufactures fabric-covered buildings.
Deanna Hope says the $1-million expansion will help add more jobs.
"The additional 10,000 square foot manufacturing plant expansion took less than a year to complete, from the moment we broke ground last July to the official opening this past March," explained Hope. "This addition allows Calhoun to add about 40 per cent more jobs to the organization across materials, handlers, welders and office staff."
Calhoun is hosting a public open house event on Thursday, June 9 at 5 p.m.
"Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the new plant expansion," said Hope. "So come on out and enjoy some local food, some live music and learn more about who Calhoun Super Structure is and the opportunities being created for the Goderich community."
The company is also marking its 30 years in business by running a year round, on-line fundraiser.
"With a goal to raise $30,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society towards breast cancer research," added Hope.
