United Way Perth Huron (UWPH) will host an upcoming community workshop in Listowel.
The UWPH Belonging Here workshop will aim to help answer the questions what does it mean to belong in a community, and how can that sense of belonging be strengthened?
This community workshop will explore building a shared understanding of belonging in North Perth and identifying ways to strengthen it. It will be held on Tuesday, October 27 at the Kin Station in Listowel from 12:30-4:15 p.m.
The goal of the workshop is to produce a draft 90-Day Community Belonging Action Plan. Anyone is welcome to register for the event. Participants will help to identify ways that people can feel more a part of a community, including ways that make people feel more connected and valued.

"Strong communities are built when people feel they belong," said Todd Kasenberg, UWPH Manager, Community Development, North Perth. "This workshop will help us better understand what supports belonging in North Perth, where barriers exist and what steps we can take to create a more welcoming and inclusive community. Belonging affects every aspect of community life. When people feel connected and valued, communities are healthier, more resilient and better equipped to support everyone. This workshop is an opportunity to move from discussion to action."
