Team Canada Men's U23 Softball team ready to compete at Pan American Championship

The U23 Men's Team Canada Softball team is set to compete at the 2025 Pan American Championship in Argentina.

The tournament takes place starting September 13 with the medal round on September 20.

The roster features a few athletes and a trainer from Midwestern Ontario. Durham's Alex McGillivray, Wingham's Mac Mulvey and Hepworth's Matt Weiler will all be on the field, and trainer Darren Smale from St. Marys will also be on the bench.

Team Canada will open the tournament against Mexico at 1:30 p.m. local time in Argentina on September 13 (12:30 p.m. EDT).

The top four teams will earn a berth for the 2026 U23 Men’s Softball World Cup in Colombia.

A total of seven teams will compete at the Pan American Championship – No. 3 Argentina, No. 4 Canada, No. 10 the Dominican Republic, No. 12 Guatemala, No. 9 Mexico, No. 34 Peru, No. 5 the United States and No. 2 Venezuela.
