Gateway Centre set to host latest webinar on electric vehicles

The Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health (CERH) is set to host its latest free webinar, looking at electric vehicles and their potential benefits.

This latest webinar, called “Climate Change, Planning for EV’s and Community Health," will take place via Zoom on Tuesday, May 5 from noon to 1 p.m.

The session will "explore the realities of owning electric vehicles in rural areas, including the financial, environmental, and community health connections," according to a statement from the Gateway Centre.

Attendees will learn how municipal collaboration could be on way to develop electric vehicle infrastructure, with the ultimate goal of reducing emissions and building regional connectivity.

Speakers will include Dr. Wayne Caldwell, professor emeritus of the University of Guelph; Derry Wallis, Climate Change and Energy Specialist; and Jason Geberdt, Manager of IT Infrastructure and Operations at the County of Huron.

To attend this event and future presentations, you can register on the Gateway CERH website https://www.gatewayruralhealth.ca/lectureseries.
