A series of break-and-enters in Wellington County over the weekend saw thousands of dollars worth of goods taken.
Wellington County OPP say the first break-in occurred on March 13 at 11:30 p.m. at a business on Highway 9 in Harriston, where two suspects gained entry by smashing a glass door. The suspects left prior to police arriving. Nothing was reported stolen from the business.
Then, that same night at 11:45 p.m., officers responded to an alarm at a business on Main Street West in Palmerston. The investigation determined that three suspects gained entry to the business by smashing a glass door and stole several cartons of cigarettes. The suspects were gone before police arrived.
Finally, on March 14 at 1:15 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at a business on Highway 6 in Guelph-Eramosa Township. Three suspects again smashed a glass door and gained entry, stealing $30,000 worth of cigarettes, cash and other merchandise before leaving the scene.
Police believe these three incidents are connected and are actively seeking the suspects. Suspect one is described as a white male with a heavy build wearing an orange hood, black hoodie sweater with white writing on the arm, dark/black pants, black footwear and black gloves.
Suspect two is described as a white male with a medium build wearing yellow gloves, black pants, black shoes, a grey/light face mask, a black hoodie with the hood up and a hole in left pant leg.
The third suspect is described as a white male wearing black pants, a black hoodie with a yellow decal on left chest, a black hat and black face mask, possibly a balaclava, a white glove on left hand, a black/yellow glove on right hand, black shoes, possibly running shoes and a black jacket.
The suspect vehicle is described as a black Ford F-150.
