79-year-old man dead after South Huron crash

A rollover crash South of Exeter has claimed the life of a 79-year-old man from North Middlesex.

Emergency crews were called to London Road in the Municipality of South Huron just after noon on Friday.

Police, along with the South Huron Fire Department and Huron County Paramedics, arrived at the scene and found a damaged pickup truck that had rolled over.

Police say there were two people inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The driver of the pickup truck was treated at the scene for minor injuries. However, the 79-year-old passenger sustained life-threatening injuries. The man was rushed to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead.

London Road was closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene and worked to determine the cause of the crash.
