The Municipality of Brockton is reminding residents that applications are open to fill the vacancy on council.
Former Councillor Carl Kunhke resigned and his seat was declared vacant last month.
To be considered for appointment, individuals must be residents of the Municipality, a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old. Those interested must complete a Council Vacancy Application Form and submit it to the Clerk’s Office during regular business hours.
The deadline to apply is January 6 at 2 p.m.
The term of this position is from the date of appointment until the swearing in of the next Council after the 2026 Municipal Election.
So far, two people, Robin Zettel and Michael Crawford, have applied to fill the role.
