A recent bake sale hosted by the Huron County OPP raised some cash for the local United Way.
$600 was raised after Huron OPP officers and support staff baked tasty treats which were donated and made available for purchase by all Huron OPP employees.
All of the money raised will be going to United Way Perth Huron.
The United Way will use the money to help support the numerous programs they run in the area, particularly seasonal things like the local North Huron Connection Centre.
That centre, among many homelessness initiatives run by United Way, provides shelter, meals, laundry facilities and washrooms for those in need.
