Goderich Legion 109 donates $5K to Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health

The Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health has received a $5,000 donation from Goderich Legion 109.

Gateway Centre staff visited the legion branch on December 3 to receive the donation.

According to a press release, the Gateway Centre says this donation will "ensure that we can continue delivering high-quality programs and research that support seniors and veterans, while also exploring new initiatives that address our community needs."

The Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health was founded in 2008. It is a not-for-profit rural health research organization run by a community-based volunteer board of directors.

Its main mission is to "better the health and quality of life of rural residents through research, education, and communication," according to the press release.
