Bruce County residents can book library meeting rooms, book club kits online

The Bruce County Public Library has launched a new online booking system for people who want to reserve a meeting room or book club kit.

The meeting rooms are available free of charge for non-profit groups, municipalities, and Friends of the Library groups at the branches in Chesley, Lucknow, Mildmay, Port Elgin, and Sauble Beach. There is also a study room open for people to use at the Walkerton branch. Private and commercial groups can rent the spaces for $10 per hour, with a one hour minimum.

The online booking system includes a user-friendly calendar to ensure there are no booking conflicts.

The book club kits, which include 10 copies of a single title that can be borrowed for up to six weeks, can be reserved online using a library card. An email will be sent to the user once the kit is ready for pickup. Library officials note there are over 100 book titles that can be selected for the kits.

The library has posted photos and easy-to-follow directions to reserve a room or kit on its website library.brucecounty.on.ca.

Officials state the online booking system was created to make it "easier than ever" to connect and gather at the library.
