The much anticipated Paisley Fall Fair returns this weekend with a full day of family friendly activities, agricultural displays, and entertainment. Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate local farming, crafts, and community spirit.
The opening ceremonies will take place Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Entertainment Tent. The free event includes a live auction of pies, a tree dedication, the announcement of the Fair Ambassador, and live entertainment by Pat McNeish.
Fair Day is Sunday, September 7. The gates open at 9 a.m., welcoming attendees to the Exhibit Hall and the start of the day’s festivities. Highlights include the Paisley 4-H Club Achievement Day and Beef Show, kicking off at 9 a.m., and the Agricultural Education Tent, open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering interactive exhibits for kids and adults.
Young fairgoers can enjoy a Free Kids Activity Area from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a Decorated Bicycle Competition at noon, a Pet Show at 12:30 p.m., and the Kids Pedal Tractor Pull shortly afterwards. Additional hands-on experiences include sheep shearing demonstrations at noon, 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. outside the Agricultural Education Tent.
Animal enthusiasts won’t want to miss the 4-H Invitational Beef and Dairy Shows beginning at 11:30 a.m., the Draft and Light Horse Line Classes, and the North American Six-Horse Hitch Classic Series Class in the Horse Ring at approximately 2 p.m. The Dairy Show Costume Class follows at 2:30 p.m.
Live entertainment fills the day, with Midnight Blue Band performing from 12:30 to 4 p.m. in the Entertainment Tent, alongside line dancing sessions with Rhonda Laws at 1:45 and 3 p.m. The Paisley Firefighters host a Junior Fire Fit event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., while animal lovers can catch the Power Paws Dog Show at 2:15 p.m. and again at 4 p.m.
Other fair favorites include the Hopper Races and Cowpie Eating Contest at 3 p.m., as well as a Silent Auction from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with proceeds supporting Homecraft Prize Money.
The Exhibit Hall closes at 4:30 p.m., and the day concludes with a BBQ Beef Supper in the Palace at 5:15 p.m. (tickets must be purchased in advance).
This years theme is country roots and cowboy boots.
