Ongoing investigation brings large police presence to Crediton

Provincial police in Huron County are reassuring residents in Crediton there is no risk to public safety as officers flood the area for an ongoing investigation.

Shortly after 6 a.m. on Wednesday, OPP asked people to avoid Victoria Avenue between Parr Line and Ausable Line while a search warrant was carried out.

Police offered no details about what officers were looking for or what the investigation pertains to.

The public has been told more information will be released once it becomes available.

The increased police presence is expected to continue throughout the morning Wednesday.
