More blood donation events coming to Midwestern Ontario

Canadian Blood Services is bringing more blood donation events to the area.

One will be held in Mount Forest on October 1 at the Mount Forest Recreation Complex from 2-7 p.m., and another on October 29 in the same location from 1-7 p.m.

Owen Sound will also host a pair of blood donation events at the Owen Sound Legion. The first will be October 2 from 2-7 p.m. and the second will be October 30 at the same time.

Canadian Blood Services shares that blood plays a critical role in everyday medical care. Many people with various health conditions require regular transfusion therapy.

Recent changes to donation criteria mean that many people who weren’t able to donate in the past, might be able to now.

Book an appointment now by downloading the GiveBlood app, calling 1-888-2-DONATE (1-888-236-6283) or booking online at blood.ca
