Knights Blank Attack in Owen Sound 1-0

The London Knights needed just one goal to get a key road win of the season.

Evan Bouchard's goal late in the second period was enough to give the Knights a 1-0 win over the Attack Sunday afternoon at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

London heads into their holiday break with 38 points, and sits in second place in the OHL Midwest Division following the Guelph Storm's loss in Oshawa Sunday night.

It was a scoreless first period with the Attack having one unsuccessful power play opportunity. A four-on-four was also called late in the period.

The tie was finally broken at 15:12 in the second period when Bouchard scored on the power play, his 12th goal of the season.

The third period was perfect with no penalties called or goals scored on either side.

Joseph Raaymakers stopped all 32 Owen Sound shots in goal for the Knights. Olivier Lafreniere had 13 saves for Owen Sound out of 14 tries.

The Knights are off until Thursday, December 28, when they travel to Flint to face the Firebirds.
