A former Chatham-Kent (CK) police officer with a history of accusations of sexual assault has been charged once again after an investigation by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).
Kenneth Miller, 55, was charged with one count of sexual assault, one count of sexual exploitation, and one count of breach of trust in relation to complaints of sexual assault that are alleged to have occurred in 2009, reported the SIU.
"The SIU was contacted by Chatham-Kent Police Service on September 8, 2025, after a woman came forward to report incidents that occurred while she was a minor and involved an on-duty constable," the SIU said.
It's not the first time Miller has been charged with sexual assault. He was also charged with sexual assault in 2018 in connection with an incident that occured in 2014, in 2017 in connection with an incident in 2013, and in 2016 in relation to an incident that occured in 2015. He also spent roughly two months in jail after pleading guilty to a charge of breach of trust in connection with the 2015 incident.
Miller resigned from the Chatham-Kent Police Service in March 2018, shortly before he was sentenced to 60 days in jail after his guilty plea on the breach of trust charge.
The SIU said Miller was arrested by the SIU on Tuesday and released with several conditions, including that he refrain from communicating directly or indirectly with the victim.
Miller will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham on May 19.
The SIU noted it will not comment further because the matter is now before the courts.
