Update: Fatal crash in Lighthouse Cove

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision that took place in Lighthouse Cove.

On Monday night at around 9 p.m., OPP, Lakeshore Fire Department, and EMS responded to the single-vehicle crash on Mariner's Drive.

The driver, a 78-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Previously, police reported the victim's age was 60.

Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement are investigating the collision. They are hoping to speak with anyone who may have seen the vehicle before the crash, or those with dashcam footage of the collision.

Police closed Mariner's Drive to investigate, but it reopened just after 1 a.m.
