A popular event and fundraiser for the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation is back.
Registration is now open for the 3rd annual Cornhole for Hospice, taking place Saturday, February 21, at the John D. Bradley Centre in Chatham.
Every team that registers and collects pledges will have a chance to win a set of custom cornhole boards and other great prizes.
No experience is required, and teams are guaranteed five games. Teams will play three games in a random round-robin tournament before being split into two divisions. Pool A will compete in a double-elimination tournament, while Pool B will be a single-elimination tournament. The winning team of each division will receive a cash prize.
Corporate team sponsorships are also available, with all the proceeds going to the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
Thirty-seven teams took part in last year's event and raised over $51,000 for end-of-life care. In 2024, the event brought in over $33,000.
Early bird registration closed December 31. After that, the price for a team of two goes up to $200.
