Saugeen Shores police seek help solving break-in

Saugeen Shores Police are reaching out to residents to see if they can help solve a local break-in.

Police were called to a residence in the area of Hillcrest Drive around 7:30 a.m. Saturday for a reported break-and-enter attempt.

According to police, an unknown male attended a residence and broke the glass storm door while the homeowner was inside.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, possibly 45-60 years old, wearing work boots, a black toque and a yellow and brown plaid work jacket.

Blood was located at the scene so police believe the suspect may have injured himself during the process.

Police are asking residents in the area of Hillcrest Drive, Amanda's Way and Ridge Street to review any residential security camera footage between the hours of 7:10 and 9 a.m.

Anyone with information should contact Saugeen Shores Police at 519-832-2500.
