The Municipality of Kincardine is set to rebuild MacPherson Park in 2026, and the community engagement portion of the project will begin shortly.
The Municipality is hosting a community engagement session on Monday, January 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Davidson Centre's Bruce Telecom Room.
The session will include concepts and mock-ups of potential new park designs, and feedback will be shared with playground designers. Participants will be invited to share their preferences, including whether they'd like to see a longer, fully ramped play structure; a taller structure with elevated lake views or smaller structure with a wider variety of features.
The town says the goal of the project is to "create a signature recreation space on Kincardine’s waterfront - one that reflects community priorities, modern accessibility standards, and long-term durability."
The rebuild is being supported with Canadian Tire Jumpstart and Municipal funding.
