London police searching for Chatham teen

London police are asking for the public's help in locating a 16-year-old from Chatham.

Cayden Shoemaker is wanted following a shooting incident that happened on November 10.

London police said officers were called to the Justice Centre on Richmond Street after an employee found what appeared to be a bullet hole in a window.

According to investigators, the shot was intended to hit a supportive housing unit above the Justice Centre, but it missed.

Shoemaker was determined to have fired several shots at the residence, and that he was known to someone who lived there.

No injuries were reported following the incident.

Another suspect was arrested on November 21, and police said they found two loaded guns, cash, and drugs on him at the time.

Special judicial permission has been given to police to release Shoemaker's name, description, and image to the public in order to find him.

The teen is described as white, about 5'3", with a slim build, shoulder-length brown hair, and brown eyes.

He was last believed to be in Chatham.

Shoemaker is wanted on charges including:

• Discharge a firearm in a reckless manner

• Disguise with intent

• Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm

• Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence

• Occupy motor vehicle with firearm/etc.

Members of the public are warned not to approach the teen.
