Assault with a Weapon
Chatham-Kent (CK) police have charged a 36-year-old woman from Corunna after she allegedly got into a fight with another woman.
Shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of an assault involving a weapon in Dresden.
The victim, a 39-year-old woman from Dresden, told officers that she had gotten into a verbal argument with another woman who threw a bag containing several items at her. The bag missed and hit a nearby window instead.
Police later found the woman who threw the bag and arrested her. She's since been charged with assault with a weapon.
She's been released from police custody with a future court date.
Two Charged with Assault
A man and a woman have both been charged after getting into a fight in Blenheim.
At around 3 a.m. on Thursday, CK police were called to a home in Blenheim after a verbal argument turned physical between two people.
After investigating, officers arrested both and charged them with assault.
The man was also charged with sexual assault, with police not specifying whether this was related to the fight.
Both have been released with future court dates.
