Western University's Northern Tornadoes Project (NTP) is reporting that a tornado touched down on Lake Erie earlier this month.
The NTP says the waterspout was captured on video by a witness over the lake just south of Erieau around 7:45 a.m. on August 3, 2024.
Maryann, who goes by @tempesthunterph on X, was the one who caught the weather event on video. She told CK News Today that she captured it from the Rondeau West Front Range Lighthouse, looking South East. At the time, it was heading towards Euclid, Ohio.
No damage was reported from the storm, so it was given an EF0-Default rating.
