The Gateway Centre for Excellence in Rural Health is hosting another in its Virtual Lecture Series online sessions.
The latest session is titled "The Urban Exodus: Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Rural Ontario" and it looks at how the pandemic caused many people to leave big cities in favour of smaller towns and rural areas.
Researchers from the University of Guelph’s School of Environmental Design and Rural Development have been studying these changes in rural landscapes. That includes how the influx of people into rural communities has strained aging local infrastructure.
The session will be Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 12-1 p.m. via Zoom. To join this webinar and future sessions in the series, visit the Gateway CERH website: https://www.gatewayruralhealth.ca/lectureseries
