Windsor police are looking for suspects in a pair of bear mace attacks in the downtown core in recent weeks.
The first incident occurred at around 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at a restaurant on University Avenue West near Pelissier Street. Police say two people were at a table when someone entered through the front entrance, pulled out an aerosol can, and sprayed a noxious substance in their faces before fleeing.
The victims were treated by paramedics on the spot.
The suspect was described as a White male, 5’ 6”, with a slender build, blue eyes, and brown curly hair. He wore a black hooded sweater with the hood pulled over his head, a black mask covering the bottom half of his face, and black pants.
The second incident was shortly before 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23. Officers responded to the area of University Avenue West and Victoria Avenue, where they learned that several young people were walking down the street when the victim made a comment. One of the youths turned and sprayed the victim with bear mace before running off.
The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a White male, in his late teens or early twenties, with curly black hair cut short on the sides. At the time of the incident, he wore a white sweatshirt, black pants, and a crossbody bag.
Windsor police have produced a video showing the first incident, followed by a suspect running from the area.

Police are also looking for a suspect in a third bear spray attack, which occurred Sunday night on Dougall Avenue.
