On Saturday, members of Unifor at Ford Canada will vote on whether to accept a tentative deal reached earlier this week.
Unifor Local 200 President John D'Agnolo said the vote for workers at Ford's Windsor operations would start at 2:30 p.m. on Zoom.
"It goes for 24 hours, and we will know on Sunday if it's ratified," said D'Agnolo in a tweet to WindsorNewsToday.ca.
The start times are different for other locals across Canada.
The tentative agreement was reached on Tuesday evening, averting a strike by 5,600 auto workers.
The union has not released details of the agreement publicly, but it did endorse it on Tuesday.
"The union will now prepare to present this unanimously endorsed tentative agreement in full detail to the membership at upcoming ratification meetings," said Unifor's statement that night.
Unifor paused talks with Stellantis and General Motors until it could reach a deal with Ford.
On Friday, Reuters quoted sources familiar with talks in the U.S. who said a strike by United Auto Workers members would expand.
U.A.W. members at three plants joined picket lines last Friday after efforts to reach a deal with the Big Three Auto Makers in the U.S. failed.
Reuters reported talks between the American union and automakers had progressed, and the U.A.W. did not plan to expand its strike against Ford.
