Police investigating two collisions

Windsor police are looking for witnesses to two separate serious collisions on Thursday afternoon, one that caused the death of a 26-year-old man.

The first was around 3 p.m.

A motorcycle and a car collided in the area of Cabana Road West and McGraw Avenue. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. On Friday afternoon, police reported the man passed away from injuries sustained in the crash.

The Windsor Police Collision Reconstruction unit is investigating.

The second collision was just before 5 p.m. in the area of Mill Street and Sandwich Street.

Investigators say a vehicle was trying to turn south from Mill Street on to Sandwich Street and struck a mother pushing her child in a stroller.

The mother and the child were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for careless driving and failing to yield to pedestrians.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Windsor Police Service at 519-255-6700.
