Next Rotary Auction will 'cut the cord'

A major fundraiser will be brought to you differently.

The Rotary Club of Windsor-St. Clair announced this week from the WE Digital Studios in Windsor that the 37th Windsor-St. Clair Rotary Auction will be completely live-streamed and not broadcast. The event will take place on December 1 and 2.

Chairperson Deborah Moore has called the new format a "game changer".

"We are confident of exponential growth both in audience and in raising dollars," said Moore. "Not only can we include viewers and auction bidders that have been loyal to us since the very beginning, but plenty of new supporters can also 'join the party'.”

Throughout the two nights of live-streaming, as always, hundreds of items donated by local businesses and residents will be auctioned off in a fun, fast-paced format.

The Rotary has supported the Ganatchio Trail and the Windsor-Essex Smoke Alarm Campaign. Other projects have included the children's greenhouse at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare and the Windsor Residence for Young Men.

Additional details on the 37th Auction will be provided closer to the dates.
